Coaching is as individual as your life. I work with clients primarily over the phone, establishing a schedule for regular calls at a convenient time, usually three times a month. Our conversations begin with a check-in of how you are doing and what you have achieved since we last talked, with a focus on the commitments you made on the last call.
We then agree on a couple of things you are working on as the focus of our work for the call. We may explore how you might approach a situation, set goals, explore why your progress has stalled, and see how you can create environmental support.
A coach is not a parent, drill sergeant, or all-knowing guru. I will help you to view your life from new perspectives, especially the places where you find yourself stuck. I have developed deep listening skills and I ask provocative questions. I will be honest in my feedback and tell you what I see — more often than not, this is in the form of praise, appreciation, or recognition of your greatness. We also celebrate failure, as failure is the doorway to success.
